Community Involvement Activities

To receive a high school diploma in Ontario students are required to complete 40 hours of community involvement activities (volunteering) as part of their high school experience. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to explore different sectors and potential careers they may be interested in and help students develop transferrable skills that will follow them through life.  Students will also learn about their role as a citizen and, learn how they support and strengthen their community.

Summer is a great time to earn volunteer hours towards your graduation requirements.  Students can start volunteering in the summer between grade 8 and grade 9, and you must complete the 40 hours before you graduate grade 12.

Please use this form to track them.
